Unit 5: Using Math to Explore Our Environment

Overview

What is statistics and how does it help us make decisions? Statistics is a branch of mathematics where we analyze data in order to make conclusions. There are three parts to statistics that we will cover at this time: Describing data, collecting data and drawing conclusions. These three parts work together to allow us to separate speculation from firm knowledge and begin our study of statistics.
