Unit 5: Probability

Building on probability concepts that began in the middle grades, students will expand their ability to compute and interpret probabilities for compound events. They will attend to mutually exclusive events, independent events, and conditional probability. Students will compare and contrast the rules of probability and communicate their applications to others. Throughout the unit, students will use technology tools and real-life data to explore and interpret the information to make fair decisions.
